BioPaws Detection

Our
Story

BioPaws Detection is an organisation funded with the purpose to conduct state-of-the art art research into the power of canine scent detection for medical diagnostic purposes.

Our goal is to identify targets where medical detection dogs can reduce invasiveness, decrease cost, or increase the likelihood of early detection.

BioPaws Detection is a research institute established to conduct and fund research to better understand the potential of dogs’ sense of smell for medical applications and improve detection of disease by developing methods for early detection, methods that are less invasive and more accessible.

BioPaws Detection is a charity organisation where donors can make a real impact in the

establishment of high-quality medical (including veterinary) detection programs and processes that are accessible across Australian health systems nationally.

Our
Mission

The purpose of the BioPaws Detection is to develop and implement canine detection as a standard and common, accessible method for the detection and management of diseases and pathogens in both human and veterinary health particularly in the diagnosis of chronic and degenerative medical conditions.

Our Mission is to train and deploy medical detection dogs -  that is detection dogs trained for applications in health to improve diagnostics, working collaboratively with researchers, government, community and industry.
